CATERING FOR ALL DIETS
What you need to know.
Whether you are eating in one of our workplace dining halls, visitor attractions, or education setting, you should feel safe and reassured that the food and drink you eat have the most up-to-date, accurate information available to you.
If you require more information about our medical diet policies, procedures or any help at all, please do not hesitate to get in touch with our food safety officer at
THAT'S NUTS
Claiming to be a completely ‘nut-free’ environment could lead to a false sense of security. So, we educate our pupils and staff on how to safely handle and manage their food allergies, especially in our education sectors.

We never use products containing nuts as an ingredient in our education sector but will occasionally use products with a ‘may contain nuts’ declaration – providing no nuts are present in the ingredients list.

Students with a nut allergy will be on one of our medical diets to ensure they’re not served meals with a ‘may contain nuts’ declaration.
WE ARE ON
FORM !
In our education sector, we ask parents or guardians of children with food allergies or dietary restrictions to complete the form below and get it signed off by their doctor. This form is then reviewed by our special diets team, which checks for discrepancies and decides the best menu for the pupil.
MEDICAL
DIETS
We know pupils with certain medical conditions may need a special diet plan not necessarily centred around intolerances or allergens. For example, some pupils with conditions that involve swallowing difficulties (dysphagia) may require a modified texture diet such as fork-mashed, smooth or pureed foods.

Cleverchefs will support these pupils’ requirements on an individual basis by working in conjunction with parents and the school’s catering manager to ensure a suitable and safe meal is available each day.
